The international IFA 2010 trade show is almost ready to kick off. This year you can expect some new offerings from Samsung as well as others who are leaders in consumer electronics. Read on for more details on this annual trade show.

From the third until the eighth of September the international consumer electronics and home appliances show will be held in Berlin, Germany. This year IFA 2010 features some speakers from such places as ESPN development, the Chairman of the Board of Constantin Medien AG, IBM Software Solutions Group and the Chairman of the Board of Management and CEO of BSH Bosch and Siemens Hausgeräte GmbH.

Some conveniences will be available to specific groups attending this IFA. Shuttle bus services will be available to the Entrance South. The international trade visitor reception area and IFA International Keynote Area will have admission for VIP´s, press, exhibitors and trade visitors.

Samsung has given some reference as to what they will be unveiling at the IFA 2010 trade show. Their own Samsung apps and Internet television will likely be the topics you will see this year from them. Their booth ( and hall ) from last year was big and boisterous. You can expect them to be the same this year, thanks to their focused competition with Nokia. The super-heated tablet category will most likely also be addressed by Samsung with their upcoming tablet. It is called the “Galaxy Tab” after their exceedingly popular Galaxy S series smartphones.

Panasonic is preparing their own booth at IFA 2010. They created a special web page at their Panasonic.net site to view their booth in real time. Joining them will be the likes of Phillips, Toshiba, LG, Samsung, Sony and maybe even Nokia. The trade show takes up no less than 26 halls, so there is plenty of room for everyone. All in all, there will be 1164 exhibitors with booths at this year´s IFA.

The IFA is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. Way back in 1924 the first “Great German Radio and Phonograph Fair” began what is now called the IFA. The second world war postponed a few IFA events. This did not keep them from restarting their shows later. Today, they are known as a fun trade show with an immense variety. It is held in the Messe Berlin, which is equipped with a Summer Garden. The garden can be used for peaceful walks if the stress of technology becomes a bit overwhelming. If the garden is not enough there are live rock concerts to feed your spirit.

The chief operating officer of Messe Berlin states there is a substantial increase in the number of exhibit spaces for the 2010 IFA. This man is the one who organizes the IFA and goes on to say that manufacturers meet retailers at his IFA in larger numbers than anywhere else in the world.

Even though the event kicks off on September 3, the press conferences begin on September 1. This is just a few days away. If you have intentions of seeing this international event it is time to buy those tickets. Expect a big turnout and old records to be broken.
