You may never look at the world the same again. If you have an iPhone, a new mini microscope and a small amount of money, you are going to be taking a much closer look at your world. Read on to find out how to do it.
The iPhone is definitely the cool gadget to have these days. You can do so much with it. The screen is highly detailed and provides a great view of whatever it is you can point your camera at. Now you can point your camera a different way. You can attach a microscope on the back and take super detailed pictures. Like ants ? Put their smiling face up close and personal on your screen. You may even be able to sell some of these photos, if they are good enough.
Here is how to do it. The first thing to do is to get on Amazon and buy the cheap microscope. It is created by hobbytoolsupply and is a maximum of $8 dollars. It fits on the back of the iPhone 4 with a little help. The full name of the microscope is SE Mini 45X Microscope with Illuminator. It comes with prime shipping and two LED lights.
The next thing you will need is an iPhone 4 case. It is made by Body Glove. It is also sold at Amazon. The full name for it is “Body Glove Snap-On Case for iPhone 4″. It is a maximum of $13 dollars. It snaps on the outside of the iPhone 4.
You start by unscrewing the lens cap off the microscope. Then wrap the iPhone 4 in saran wrap on the backside. Install the Body Glove iPhone case over the saran wrap while it is covering the back of the iPhone 4. This protects the iPhone. Put the lens cap that you took off the microscope and put super glue or a compatible glue on the inner portion of the lens cap. Install it absolutely dead center over the camera lens on the back of the iPhone 4. The glue will dry quickly, so work fast. The clear Body Glove case will be between the lens cap and the camera of the iPhone 4. Once the glue dries, you take the Body Glove case off the iPhone and remove the saran wrap. Put the iPhone case back on the smartphone and you can install the microscope into the lens cap.
The LED lights on the Mini Microscope are the key to getting the really good shots. You can take microscopic photos of insects, textures, fabrics and more. Jeans have the interwoven format exploded into criss cross sections you have probably never seen before. Taking a picture of a leaf shows the intricate veins that support the flow of life in the tree. A tiny flea becomes a giant monster, complete with a huge needle for sucking blood from victims.
This is a cheap way to get photographic down to the smallest level. The microscope itself is a 45X model. It looks similar to what a jeweler would use for examing his work. You will have hours of fun looking at and photographing your world at the smallest levels.
